Coleman hails Bale’s influence on Wales camp and claims Real Madrid star has got even better

first_imgChris Coleman claims Gareth Bale has taken his game to another level in the past year and is ready to inspire Wales to Euro 2016 qualification.Bale netted both goals in his country’s 2-1 win over Andorra in their opening qualifier and will line up for Coleman’s side for the back-to-back home games against Bosnia-Herzegovina on Friday and Cyprus on Monday.Coleman insists there is more to his team than the Real Madrid superstar, but he accepts the 25-year-old is crucial to their chances of reaching the 2016 finals.Speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, the Wales boss said: “He is a pleasure to work with. He is obviously one of the best players in the world and he proved that last year – going to Real Madrid and winning the Champions League.“He has improved again in the last 12 months. He is a magnificent player and it’s great that we have got him with us.“He gives everybody a lift. We can give anybody a game and it is nice to know that when he is on the pitch he has got a capacity to score a goal or create something out of nothing. And when you have got that, it is a bonus.”last_img
