Consequently, the Chinese Football Confederation saw fit to issue him a suspension that will force him to watch the rest of the campaign from the stands.A statement from the CFA read: “Shanghai SIPG head coach Villas-Boas has verbally abused the match official and aimed offensive gesture at him.“His conduct has severely influenced society in a negative fashion.”AVB has yet to pass comment on the ban, but this is not the first time he has been involved in significant controversy. Indeed, the CFA have banned him twice previously and this new infringement means that he will have sat out 12 matches in total since taking over the club in November 2016.Additionally, the former Spurs boss launched an attack on the Asian Football Confederation last week, claiming Guangzhou Evergrande are “dominating the AFC because they can do anything”.
